Remodeling During a Pandemic

Don’t worry, this isn’t going to be another one of those blog posts telling you all about how “now, more than ever” we’re taking new precautions “during these unprecedented times.” Well, it kind of is – we’ll try not to be too repetitive. 

Over the past few years, we’ve integrated technology into our client communications and project management with a software called BuilderTrend. BuilderTrend has been supremely useful for our team as well as our clients, and is now providing additional points of (contact-free) contact between us and our customers. 

A live calendar shows what work is slated for the week; change orders can be reviewed, commented on, and approved as desired; to-do lists allow us to collaborate digitally with our clients to ensure everyone’s punch list items are addressed. There are a wealth of features that BuilderTrend offers that help streamline client-builder communication in both directions.

Additionally, we utilize Zoom and other video conferencing services for contact-free meetings with our customers and their teams. While we like to think that many things can be effectively communicated through BuilderTrend, we want to ensure that our clients are as looped in as possible. 

While nothing will match a face-to-face conversation and a handshake, (oh, man – remember handshakes?! I miss handshakes) the technology we’re employing keeps everyone up to date in lieu of regular, in-person meetups.
